We believe that congregations should be in cooperation, not competition. When was the last time that a congregation took an offering for another congregation? We see this happening in 2 Corinthians chapter 8. They were called to take up an offering for the church in Jerusalem and even a poor church in Macedonia generously took part. This kind of participation is something that we would like to encourage.
El Segundo Christian Church has a fund to support other ministries and we are inviting you to participate. This money will not go to directly benefit any of the congregations contributing, but rather separate Christian ministries that we choose to gift. The vision for this is simple: Churches who meet at ESCC are encouraged to take regular voluntary offerings for a Christian ministry that brings the light of Jesus into dark places.
